This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks

Artist's Description

A-bombed trees of Hiroshima. The three trees with yellow plaques are among more than 70 trees that survived the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Japan. This bombing took place on 6 August 1945, towards the end of World War II, when US forces dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima. The intense heat and shockwave from the atomic explosion killed over 70-80,000 people instantly, and left many more injured and dying. Most of the trees in the city were incinerated by the blast, but some survived, though many with deep scarring, and are now marked by these plaques.
